Guardamar is a quiet coastal town with plenty to do, just 30 km from Alicante Airport on the Costa Blanca.
Below is a list of places of interest in Guardamar itself and the surrounding area.
The Guardamar marina is a fifteen-minute walk from the flat. It's perfect for an evening stroll along the river or through the nature reserve.
There are two restaurants at the marina (one open only in summer, the other all year round).
Between the flat and the sea is a protected nature reserve. Your walk to the beach is therefore guaranteed to take you through a beautiful piece of nature. It is also an ideal environment for walking, jogging or cycling.
Through the nature reserve, you can also reach the Guardamar promenade with its many restaurants in 15 minutes. Or you can reach it via the village with its many shops and via the Reina Sofia park.

About 15 km from Guardamar, you will find the very busy but pleasant town of Torrevieja. Here you will find a very long and busy promenade with lots of typical tourist shops and restaurants. It is much busier than Guardamar, but definitely worth a visit in the evening.
Alicante probably needs no introduction. If you arrive by plane, you will most likely land there. It is only 30 km from Guardamar. This large city with its famous castle on the hill is the tourist attraction of the area.
Beautiful yachts in the harbour, lots of shops in the charming city centre, wide busy beaches and, of course, restaurants to suit every taste.

Santa Pola is located 20 km to the north and also has a number of very wide beaches, a pleasant promenade and many restaurants.
It is also the ideal starting point for a day of snorkelling or diving on the island of Tabarca. The ferry takes you there in 30 minutes, where you can spend the whole day snorkelling on one of the many small beaches or stay on the main beach, which is a bit busier. The village itself is only about 5 streets big, but it is still worth a visit.
